You can save money. You can do it! Remember the Boxcar children? Benny was happy as a lark with his broken pink cup.
1) Shop at Aldi-Really this place is great, I get the best prices. I have found that I get the same price at Aldi that I would get at Kroger with a coupon AND a sale. Aldi is clean and easy to navigate if you have small children.
2)Scale Down-Can you lose the premium channels? Can you scale down the download speed on your internet? Seriously those few moments a month when you have to wait THREE WHOLE MORE SECONDS, is worth 20, 40 bucks. Don't ya think?
3)Save Your Reciepts-Where does it really go. If you can get a handle on what your same monthly purchases are then you have a goal to shoot for. Honestly I buy the same things every month, toilet tissue, oats, diapers, cheese, milk. So when I see a really great price I buy lots.
4)Get a Deep Freeze or 2nd refrigerator if you have a large family.I got 44 loaves for $11.00 three weeks ago!
5)If you have to get something done hire a friend or a neighborhood kid. It is good value to spread the bounty. And it will come back to reward you in many ways. Trust me. Better to pay him and he will look out for you when the time comes. Or better yet if you need to do it yourself. I do a much better job vacuuming my minivan and then I am not frustrated when it comes time to pay and there are still crumbs in the seat buckle.
What is your tip for saving money today?
